LintAlert was originally designed when smart homes were a "thing of the future". It has protected thousands of homes since it was released.

While the LintAlert was a fantastic product, times change and technology progresses. When designing the new LintAlert PRO Plus, inventor and owner of In-O-Vate Technologies, Inc., Rick Harpenau, wanted a cutting-edge device that took guesswork out of the equation. The way to do this was to create a "smarter" system for "smart homes". Working with the manufacturers, Rick took LintAlert to a whole new level of intelligence. Not only would it alert the homeowner on the device, itself, but it would also alert their always-in-hand cell phone. Not only that, but, the installer would get signaled that there might be trouble as well. This sets up a circular business model that promotes repeat business. It's a win-win situation for all of the purchase cycle participants.
