We launched our new product, the LintAlert at the show where we had a small 10x10 booth. For almost 3 years we have been actively working and tweaking the product, website, marketing and packaging for this one time debut. The anticipation, excitement and stress grew daily as the show date approached.
Like most shows, they incorporate several awards for innovative products. Here are the awards that applied to us.
- New Product World Hardware & Tools, Plumbing & Electrical, Storage & Organization, Homewares, Paint & Accessories
- New Product Launch Spotlight - products that have no pre-sells, no pre-negotiations or no exclusive deal.

LintAlert Sponsors World Tri-athlete in Boston Marathon
Although a life long fitness buff, Philippe Jeck is relatively new to endurance sports. In 2004 at the age of 48 he participated in his first triathlon, a sprint distance (1/8th of an ironman distance). In 2005 he participated in eight triathlons, including four at the Olympic distance, one of which was the Kings Trail triathlon in Maui, Hawaii, and his first marathon. 2006 was a banner year in which Philippe turned 50, competed in another marathon and eight triathlons, which included 3 half-ironman distance triathlons (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13 mile run), including in Monte Carlo, Monaco, where he qualified for the World Championships at that half-ironman distance and culminated in finishing 33rd in his age group at the World Championships.
Philippe continued to compete in 8 more triathlons and a marathon in 2007, finishing 8th in the National Championships for the half-ironman distance in Innsbrook, Missouri and qualified for the World Championships in the Netherlands for 2008. In 2008 he competed in another marathon (finishing 2nd in his age group) which qualified him for the Boston Marathon in 2009, and eight more triathlons ending in a 39th place finish at the World Championships in the Netherlands (2.75 mile swim, 75 mile bike, 18 mile run). In 2009, after a warm up marathon in February, he will compete in his first Boston Marathon wearing the LintAlert uniform. This is the 113th running of the Boston Marathon and it is the world's oldest annual marathon. In 2008 nearly 22,000 runners completed the race. Philippe’s official time was 3:29:25.

The company will launch the LintAlert in May of 2009 at The International Hardware Show in Las Vegas, Booth 34107 in the Central Hall.
